Biden: There is a possibility of an agreement between Tel Aviv-Riyadh relations.
The American president claimed that there is a possibility of an agreement with Riyadh to normalize relations with Tel Aviv, but he did not provide more details.
After the publication of reports about the failure of the American efforts to force Saudi Arabia to establish diplomatic relations with the Zionist interim regime, Washington claimed the possibility of achieving this agreement.
US President Joe Biden claimed on Saturday morning, after White House National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan’s talks with Saudi officials in Jeddah, that there is a possibility of an agreement with Riyadh to normalize relations with Tel Aviv.
According to the Reuters news agency, during an election speech to his supporters and supporters in the city of Freeport, located in the state of Maine, Biden claimed, without giving further details: “Perhaps the normalization of relations is underway.”
Before this, the Associated Press wrote in a report about Sullivan’s recent visit to Saudi Arabia to persuade Riyadh to normalize relations with Tel Aviv: “So far, the efforts of the White House have not led to any particular success.”
In a brief statement about the trip, the White House announced that Sullivan arrived in Jeddah on Thursday to meet with the crown prince and other Saudi officials. The talks covered a wide range of issues on initiatives to “promote a shared peaceful vision for a secure, prosperous and stable Middle East”.
Sullivan’s visit comes after US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken visits Saudi Arabia last month, the purpose of which was to “promote normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia.”
Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan stated during the recent trip to Blinken that normalization with the occupation regime without “finding a way to peace with the Palestinian people” will have “limited benefits”.
