Biden is under criticism in the United States for his “useless” trip to the region
The fruitless visit of the American president to the West Asian region, which some believe was designed for domestic purposes, has been met with sharp criticism by the representatives of the Congress.
The visit of US President Joe Biden to Saudi Arabia and Occupied Palestine has been criticized inside the US and has been described as “useless” especially by the lawmakers of the Republican Party.
Biden under criticism
“Ted Cruz”, the Republican representative of the state of Texas, during a meeting in Washington on Monday, criticized this trip and called Joe Biden’s foreign policy incomprehensible and said that this trip did not have the desired results because of this.
“Unfortunately, the trip didn’t go well,” he said. For a year and a half, we have seen policies in the field of foreign affairs from the White House that do not fit with reason. “They have systematically isolated America’s friends and allies and shown appeasement and weakness against our enemies.”
Referring to Biden’s recent efforts to persuade Saudi Arabia to increase oil production, Ted Cruz said: “Biden has spent the last year demonizing the Saudis and attacking them. Even during this trip, when he was on his knees and asked the Saudis to produce more oil to help him in the November elections, he could not stop demonizing Saudi Arabia.”
This American senator emphasized: “Therefore, it is not surprising that he did not go anywhere considering that he did not protect our friends. You can’t keep your friendship with your friends when you treat them terribly. “Biden is doing to the Israelis what he is doing to the Saudis.”
Ted Cruz’s claim was raised while his aid to the Zionist regime was welcomed by the Zionists. In Occupied Palestine, Biden signed a joint statement with this regime known as the “Jerusalem Declaration”, which calls for more cooperation between the two sides against Iran.
Tom Cotton, the Republican representative of the state of Arkansas in the US Senate, also described Biden’s visit to the region as a “failure”. “Biden did not end his journey with any tangible achievements,” he said.
