Berlin: We deny the rumors of desecration of the Quran in Germany.
In a statement, the German Embassy in Iraq denied the recent rumors about the desecration of the Holy Quran in this country.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency, the German Embassy announced: The recent rumors about the burning of the Holy Quran in Germany are false.
The statement reads: “We strongly condemn any form of hatred and religious intolerance. Desecration of the Holy Quran is a hostile and hateful act.
At the end of this statement, the Berlin embassy emphasized: “Now is the time to be together and not to be divided.” We are happy with the excellent relations between Iraq and Germany and we are waiting for its further strengthening and development.
It should be noted that “Salvan Momika”, an Iraqi asylum seeker who burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Stockholm mosque under the protection of the Swedish police on June 28, previously trampled the Holy Quran and the Iraqi flag in front of the Iraqi embassy in Stockholm and chanted slogans against religion. Islam prevailed.
On the 21st of July, members of an anti-Islam and extremist group in Denmark called the Danish Patriots burned a copy of the Holy Quran in front of the Iraqi embassy in Copenhagen.
By raising anti-Islamic banners and chanting insulting slogans against Islam, the members of the group threw the Iraqi flag and the Quran on the ground and stepped on it.
