In a meeting with the Saudi Foreign Minister, the Syrian President discussed bilateral relations and political, Arab and international cases, and bilateral cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Syria.
The Saudi Foreign Minister conveyed the greetings of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to Bashar al-Assad and wished the Syrian nation security, stability and progress.
Bashar Assad emphasized in this meeting: the brotherhood that binds the Arab countries together is deep and it is the best interpretation of the relations between the Arab countries.
While emphasizing the peaceful relations between the two countries, he added: these relations are not only for the benefit of the two countries, but also for the benefit of the Arab world and the region.
Bashar Assad, calling the relations between the two countries historic, announced: Saudi Arabia’s realistic and open policy is in the interest of the Arab countries and the region.
The Syrian President said: The role of the Arab brotherhood is necessary to support the Syrian nation so that it can overcome the consequences of the war against Syria and achieve stability and liberate all its lands.
On the other hand, Faisal bin Farhan spoke of his country’s confidence in the ability of the Syrian government and people to overcome the consequences of the war and achieve sustainable development.
He emphasized: Saudi Arabia is with Syria and supports it in maintaining the territorial integrity of Syria, its security and stability, and providing the necessary platform for the return of refugees.
Bin Farhan said: The next stage requires that the relations between Syria and its brothers in the Arab countries return to normal and that Syria plays an Arab and regional role better than before.
