The head of the Al-Fath coalition of Iraq: Baghdad should immediately expel Swedish troops and diplomatic delegations from Iraq.
According to Al-Maluma, Hadi Al-Amiri, the head of the Al-Fath Coalition of Iraq, emphasized that the Swedes have no place in this country and that the Baghdad government should expel all the Swedish delegations and forces from Iraq.
He further added: The Iraqi government should immediately expel all the Swedish troops and diplomatic delegations from the country.
On Thursday, the Iraqi Foreign Ministry, while summoning the Swedish ambassador, informed him of Baghdad’s protest against the offensive act of burning the Koran in Sweden.
On Friday, Sweden’s Deputy Foreign Minister John Knutsen, while sending a message to the Iraqi Embassy in Stockholm, deeply regretted the incident of burning a copy of the Holy Quran in this country.
Therefore, in this message, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Sweden has announced that this country is seriously opposed to any anti-Islamic action, and the Swedish government is also determined to conduct an investigation based on the Racist Crimes Act regarding the act of the person mentioned in burning the Holy Quran.
In this statement, the Swedish government claims that it does not support the thoughts of the people present in the recent gathering around the main mosque in Stockholm (the place where the Holy Quran was burned) and understands the wounded feelings of Muslims in Sweden and other countries in this regard. Meanwhile, the Swedish police played a key role in the desecration of the Holy Quran by issuing a permit and providing security support to the act of a refugee residing in this country.
The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on its website while publishing this news that this message was sent to the representatives of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
