Australia’s decision on Al-Quds angered Tel Aviv.
After Australia’s decision to cancel the recognition of Al-Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime, Tel Aviv authorities, while expressing their anger, announced the summoning of Canberra’s ambassador.
The decision of the Australian government on Monday (yesterday) to withdraw the recognition of West Quds as the capital of the Zionist regime followed the reaction of the Prime Minister and other officials of the occupying Quds regime.
Media sources in occupied Palestine reported that the Zionist regime will summon an Australian visit to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in protest against Australia’s decision to cancel the country’s 2018 decision to recognize West Jerusalem as the capital of this regime.
According to the Israeli newspaper “Haaretz”, the action of the Australian government has angered the senior officials of the occupying Jerusalem regime.
The Israeli Foreign Ministry expressed its “deep disappointment” about this action, claiming that the Australian government’s decision “came from short-sighted political considerations.”
Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid also claimed that Australia’s decision was a “hasty response to a false news in the media”.
While the decision of the Australian government angered the Zionist authorities, Lapid said with a sarcastic tone about this decision: “I only hope that Australia will deal with other issues in a more serious way.”
The prime minister of the Zionist regime also claimed: “Jerusalem (Quds) is the eternal and unified capital of Israel and nothing will change this issue.”
On Monday (yesterday), the Australian government canceled the 2018 decision of the then government of this country to recognize West Jerusalem as the capital of the Zionist regime.
According to Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong, this issue should be resolved as part of the peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.
He added: “Australia is committed to a two-state solution where Israel and a future Palestinian state coexist in peace and security within internationally recognized borders.”
