What happened in the attack on the house of the head of the Afghan Ministry of Defence?
The attack on the home of the acting head of the Afghan Ministry of Defense ended after 4 hours of fighting and the killing of the attackers at midnight last night, for which a group has not yet claimed responsibility.
The attack on the home of Bismillah Mohammadi, the acting head of the Afghan Ministry of Defense, began at 8pm last night with a car bomb exploding, ending at midnight with all the attackers killed.
Some sources say at least five people were killed and more than 25 were injured in the attack.
The attack took place in the Shirpur area of Kabul’s 10th security district, but Bismillah Mohammadi and members of his family were not harmed.
Several bodyguards of the acting Minister of Defence of Afghanistan are said to have been injured in the attack.
Security sources say the attack took place just hours before the head of the Afghan Ministry of Defense and a number of political figures and friends left the scene.
According to sources, the office of Baghlan MP Azim Mohseni was also located near the site of the attack, and two assailants entered his office after the blast, but no one was injured.
No group, including the Taliban, has claimed responsibility for the attack.
