Assad Exposes US Pressure To Prevent Aid To Syria.
According to Al-Rai website, Syrian President Bashar Assad met and discussed with a delegation of Lebanese ministers headed by Foreign Minister Abdallah Bouhabib in Damascus yesterday.
While appreciating Lebanon and all the countries that are with Syria in this difficult situation, Assad stated that many countries are under pressure from America not to help Syria.
In a conversation with the Lebanese ministers, Bashar Assad thanked and appreciated the government and the people of this country for the practical measures taken to provide the necessary facilities and aid to the victims of the Syrian earthquake and said that these aids are very effective and also strengthen the spirit of the Syrian nation.
The Syrian President also emphasized the importance of cooperation between Beirut and Damascus in all fields according to the capacities of the two countries and the common interests that bring them together.
The Lebanese cabinet, represented by Prime Minister Najib Mikati, expressed their sympathy with the Syrian people and expressed their condolences to Bashar al-Assad.
The members of the Lebanese delegation emphasized in the meeting with the Syrian president that their trip to Damascus is in line with the declaration of solidarity and sympathy with the Syrians. Because the Lebanese consider themselves partners in this grief of the nation and the Syrian government, and they are obliged to be with their Syrian brothers in this situation.
In this meeting, the Lebanese ministers reviewed the actions and decisions taken by the interim government of Lebanon in order to provide assistance and coordination with the Syrian institutions that work in the field of relief and rescue of the earthquake victims and emphasized that Lebanon is ready to serve the Syrian people and that the airports and It has opened its ports to send aid to this country from all directions.
