Arabs should support the Palestinians instead of supporting the militias in Yemen.
According to Sputnik, “Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi”, a prominent member of Yemen’s Supreme Political Council, emphasized in response to the final statement of the meeting of the heads of Arab countries in Jeddah: This statement does not reflect reality.
He further added: The statement issued by the meeting of Arab heads of state does not represent the leadership of the Arab nation. If there was a real will in this meeting, a statement with the following provisions would have been issued.
Al-Houthi clarified: In this statement, the formation of any militia organization outside the governing institutions should have been opposed. Also, the process of financial support to the militias from the member states of the Arab League has been stopped and these financial supports were allocated to the militant Palestinian groups.
He added: All relations with Arab League member countries that do not implement these resolutions should be cut off and all capital and commercial and economic activities of this country should be suspended.
Al-Houthi emphasized: This is the same Arab decision that there is no dispute about.
He continued: The principles that Saudi Arabia mentions as the principles of achieving peace in Yemen are outdated and as it was clear from the beginning, they are formal and informal. It is clear that Saudi Arabia and the countries that have invaded Yemen do not want peace in this country.
In the final statement of the Jeddah meeting on supporting the security and stability of Yemen and fulfilling the wishes of the people of this country, in addition to supporting the efforts of the United Nations and the countries of the region to achieve a comprehensive political solution regarding the crisis in Yemen based on the plan of the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf region and the resolution Number 2216 of the Security Council is emphasized.
