Arab League Supports The Territorial Integrity Of Syria.
According to SANA, the members of the Arab Parliament emphasized their support for the security, stability and territorial integrity of Syria in their latest meeting held on Saturday evening at the General Secretariat of the Arab League in Cairo.
During this meeting, they welcomed the return of Syria to the Arab League and the Arab Parliament.
The members of the Arab parliament expressed hope that more Arab cooperation will take place to achieve a solution to the Syrian crisis away from foreign interventions.
They asked the Arab countries and the international community to support Syria and provide assistance to this country, to prepare the conditions for the economic and social progress of Syria through investment and implementation of various projects in this country with the aim of its reconstruction.
The Arab Parliament also emphasized its firm position in supporting the cause of Palestine as the central issue of the Arab world and the effort to liberate Palestine.
It should be noted that a delegation from the Syrian Parliament participated in the meetings of the Arab Parliament in Cairo. Previously, the foreign ministers of the Arab League had welcomed Syria’s return to the Arab League at the preliminary meeting of the Arab League in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
Ahmed Abul Ghait, Secretary General of the Arab League, also announced in his speech at this meeting: We welcome Syria’s participation in the meetings of the Arab League and we hope that its return will be the beginning of the end of the crisis in this country. Syria has been an important country in the region throughout history and we all want to strengthen its role and presence.
