Arab countries in line to establish relations with Damascus.
The Iraqi Foreign Minister stressed that most Arab countries have resumed relations with Damascus without making it public.
In an interview with CNN, Iraqi Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein stressed that Baghdad’s relations with Damascus have never been severed and that Baghdad has always encouraged Arab countries to establish normal relations with Damascus.
Explaining the reason for this Iraqi approach, he said that instability in Syria creates many problems for Iraq and that the stability of Syria is in Iraq’s interest.
The Iraqi Foreign Minister added that most of the Arab countries have already resumed relations with Syria and only a few of them have made this issue public.
He added that in the near future, we will see the normal relations of many Arab countries with Syria.
It is recalled that a few days ago, UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan went to Syria to meet with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and discuss bilateral relations and the prospects for the expansion of these relations.
