The reciprocal visits of the heads of Tel Aviv and Ankara were the first manifestation of the strengthening of bilateral relations; The trips that started with the arrival of “Ishaq Herzog”, the president of the Zionist regime, in Turkey. This was the first visit of a Zionist official to Turkey since 2008 until the last few months.
“Relations between Israel and Turkey have had ups and downs, [but] we know how to build this [relationship] so that it manifests itself in action and mutual respect,” Herzog said in a statement at the airport before flying to Turkey. Israel-Turkey relations are important. “Maybe we don’t agree on everything, but we will try to rebuild the relationship.”
