Anatoly Antonov: America’s sanctions policy against Russia has failed.
According to Tass, Anatoly Antonov, the Russian ambassador to America, says that the new round of Washington’s sanctions against Moscow is proof of the failure of the White House’s sanctions policy.
Antonov wrote in a statement: American officials once again imposed sanctions to counter the growing criticism of the failure of the sanctions policy of this country’s government. Even America’s domestic Russophobes clearly understand that this policy has failed to bring our economy to its knees and undermine Russia’s technological independence.
He added: This is a certain fact, especially since the experts of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund have confirmed it.
The Russian diplomat emphasized: Western attacks on our economy will be practically neutralized. This enables the Russian people to confidently look forward to the future. In the meantime, the countries outside the infamous “golden billion” circle will once again believe the insecurity and toxicity of the US-centered financial system. (The Golden Billion is a term coined by Russian President Vladimir Putin. This term refers to a conspiracy theory as well as to the coming battle over the world’s resources between the power elites and sort of world rulers and the Russians.)
The US Treasury yesterday (Friday) sanctioned Mikhail Friedman, Pyotr Aven, Jerman Khan, and Alexei Kuzmichev, as well as the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Russia.
