A security publication has called the hijacking of Donald Trump’s administration official Brian Hook’s car and its use in a murder a security failure.
Brian Hook, along with some other former officials of Donald Trump’s administration, is one of the people who is under 24-hour protection due to his role in the martyrdom of General Qasem Soleimani, the former commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
The Washington Examiner, from the right-wing media in the United States, reported this Friday that on December 11, 2022, two cars were stolen from Brian Hook’s home in Virginia, while he was under 24-hour protection by the Diplomatic Security Service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to this newspaper, when these robberies happened, Brian Hook was present at home. Three weeks later, one of these cars was used in a three-hour shooting in Washington, DC. In that shooting, two adults were injured and another adult was killed. An 8-year-old child was also injured.
The Washington Times writes that no media has previously reported on the connection between the theft of these cars and the shooting that took place on January 3.
The Diplomatic Security Service is a federal agency that investigates certain crimes, including visa and passport violations.
This organization is also responsible for the physical protection of the foreign minister, the US representative in the United Nations, important personalities of other countries, heads of other countries and some special diplomats.
Due to the fear of some officials involved in the assassination of Sardar Soleimani of Iran’s revenge, this organization has also taken on the task of protecting Brian Hook and Mike Pompeo, the Secretary of State of the Trump administration.
