American website: Relations between Russia and Iran have concerned America.
An American website recently reported on the military relations between Russia and Iran, which have caused concern for American officials. The website, Business Insider, stated that the United States is worried about the unprecedented level of cooperation between the two countries. Less than a year ago, the White House warned about this issue. The report also mentioned that last year, during the war in Ukraine, there was a risk of running out of Moscow’s missile reserves, and Iran agreed to provide weapons to Russia.
Western allies of Ukraine claim that Iran is participating in the war by supplying weapons, drones, and missiles to Russia. However, the Iranian authorities have denied these claims. John Kirby, the spokesman for the US National Security Council, has also expressed concern about the increase in military cooperation between Russia and Iran. Moscow has committed to providing Sukhoi-35 fighter jets to Iran by 2023. The report also mentioned that after the end of the Iran-Iraq war, the Soviet Union gave Iran permission to buy conventional weapons and ammunition.
Despite this, the development of relations between Iran and Russia has caused concern for the United States, which fears that the partnership could harm its allies in the region. American officials have accused Iran of supplying drones to Russia for use in the war in Ukraine. Some sources have even claimed that Moscow and Tehran are cooperating to build a new factory in Russia to produce Iranian-designed drones. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesman of the Russian presidency, has denied these claims.
