According to Al-Ahd, a security source in Anbar province in western Iraq reported the arrival of a column carrying American military equipment and weapons from Basra province to the Ain al-Asad base in western Anbar.
The source said: “A large column carrying US military weapons from Basra province has reached the Ain al-Asad base in the al-Baghdadi district in Heath, west of Anbar, but the reason for this action and its motives are unknown.”
An Iraqi source said: “As this large column of US military equipment and supplies moved to Ayn al-Assad, American helicopters and drones flew over the area to support it.”
The Iraqi security source stressed: “American security companies are in charge of delivering this equipment and the American troops will be transferred to Ain al-Assad base by helicopter.”
