The new estimates of the American think tank point to the expansion of China’s military industries and the equipping of the country’s navy with five aircraft carriers and 10 nuclear missile-launching submarines.
New estimates show China’s continued military expansion, with the Chinese navy having the resources to deploy up to five aircraft carriers and 10 nuclear-powered missile submarines by 2030.
According to the “US Navy” website, citing the “American Strategic Assessment Center” think tank, the Chinese army has the necessary resources to continue its modernization in the 2020s. For China’s navy, this could mean frigates, missile boats and diesel-electric submarines that could be used for regional defense as well as pressure on Taiwan as China plans to reunite the island with the mainland.
The report predicts China’s sufficient budget to build aircraft carriers, cruisers, destroyers, logistics ships, strategic bombers, and strategic transport and refueling aircraft by the 2030s.
Recently, a Chinese media wrote in an analytical report that the capability of China’s weapons and military equipment has been strengthened so much in the last decade that it has made this country’s army one of the most equipped armies in the world.
