America seeks to create a terrorist state in our vicinity.
According to Sputnik, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu accused America of trying to create a terrorist state next to Turkey.
“After the Gezi events (protests in Istanbul that turned into riots in 2013), Turkey faced a series of events that led to a decrease in investment,” Soylu said in an interview with CNN Turk. Corona epidemic has been added to these cases. We are facing the biggest wave of immigration in the world. These conditions are associated with various costs. America wants to create a terrorist country next to us. We are taking precautions. We conducted four major operations against this.”
The protests mentioned by the Turkish Interior Minister refer to the protests that took place in late May 2013 in Istanbul due to the authorities’ decision to destroy Gezi Park in the Taksim area and build a commercial and recreational complex in its place as part of the reconstruction of the square. The same name was held. These protests turned into a wave of protests against the policies of Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the then Prime Minister. According to Soylo, the danger (of creating a terrorist state) will not disappear unless the American factor is eliminated.
He also criticized America’s policies in the region and noted: “What have they (the United States) done with Afghanistan?” If I were an American, I would be upset about this situation. People were hanging under the wheels of the plane. Recovery is not easy for Iraq and Syria. There are fixed costs. This is not an easy task. America has been trying to create a terrorist state for a long time. Türkiye has been fighting for more than 40 years. 86 terrorists remain in the mountains (in northern Iraq). Do they really think that Turkey can’t fight this… Yesterday I was in Hakkari, where there was a logistics area for a terrorist organization in the Kato Marinos region. When we did Operation Kato, there were hundreds of terrorists there. We prevented the transfer of material and technical resources there, we stopped the transfer of material, technical and human resources.”
