America enforces new regulations against asylum seekers.
AFP quoted US government officials as saying that the Biden government is imposing new and strict restrictions on immigrants in order to prevent immigrants from invading the southern borders (Mexico’s border).
According to officials, in the absence of lawmakers’ proper action against the phenomenon of illegal immigrants, this is the only option to deal with the turbulent situation on the southern borders.
New laws state that immigrants and asylum seekers entering the US through the southern borders will no longer be legal immigrants and are dealt with in a different way.
Instead, asylum seekers must first go through the registration processes and fill out the forms from the “Customs and Border Patrol”.
According to US media reports, nearly 6,000 people are trying to enter the US through the southern borders a month, and these new laws will raise their concerns.
US President Joe Biden first used the term “crisis” to describe the state of its southern borders in the face of asylum seekers.
Biden and Democrats were serious opponents of the former Republican President Donald Trump, but now they talk about “asylum seekers and the need to deal with it”; Donald Trump implemented a wall construction program in the border areas to deal with the crisis of asylum seekers on the southern borders.
