Algeria: Algeria will remain with Palestine until the end of the Israeli occupation.
In a telephone conversation with the head of the Palestinian Authority, the Algerian president stressed that his country would remain a defender of Palestine until the end of the Israeli occupation.
“Palestine is the political qibla of Algeria,” Algerian President Abdel Majid Tabboune said in a telephone conversation with the head of the Palestinian Authority.
The Algerian president stressed: “Algeria will continue to defend Palestine until the end of the occupation and the formation of a Palestinian state.”
Tebboune recently said in an interview with the French weekly Le Point that every country is free to do whatever it wants; But Algeria will never normalize relations with the Zionist regime and will never do so until a Palestinian state is formed.
Tebboune’s remarks underscore the former position of the Algerian government in opposing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime. Last February, an Algerian parliamentary delegation left the International Parliamentary Assembly due to the participation of a member of parliament from the Zionist regime.
Earlier this month, members of the Algerian parliament presented a bill criminalizing the normalization of relations with the Zionist regime to the speaker of parliament. The plan includes clauses prohibiting travel or any direct or indirect contact with Tel Aviv.
