Algeria emphasizes on supporting Palestine and opposing foreign intervention in Syria.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry reiterated its firm position in support of Palestine and its opposition to foreign intervention in Syria and Libya.
The Algerian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Foreign Minister Ramatan Lamara had traveled to Cairo to attend a regular meeting of the Arab League at the foreign ministerial level.
The statement said that Algeria will emphasize at the meeting that it relies on joint Arab action based on new principles and dimensions that meet the needs of the current stage.
According to Rai Al-Youm, the statement said that political issues and developments in Palestine, Syria, Libya and Yemen, as well as the fight against terrorism and the liberation of the Middle East from weapons of mass destruction are on the agenda of the meeting. Algeria also reiterated its firm position on Arab issues, especially its support for the Palestinian question, relying on dialogue to resolve the crisis in some Arab countries and opposing any foreign intervention.
The Arab League Council, chaired by Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Muhammad Al-Sabah, will hold its 150th session today, Thursday.
In this regard, Algerian Foreign Minister Ramatan Lamara met with his Kuwaiti counterpart on Wednesday (yesterday) to discuss international and regional issues.
