Coinciding with the resurgence of the corona around the world, reports from Saudi Arabia indicate that the situation of Asian workers in the country is deteriorating.
According to the Bangladesh Chronicle website, 1228 Bangladeshis have lost their lives due to the corona in the country during last 13 months. As of last Thursday, a total of 2,729 Bangladeshis had died of the coronavirus in 23 countries, including Saudi Arabia. The death toll in Bangladesh in Saudi Arabia is high compared to other countries on the southern shores of the Persian Gulf. In the UAE 265 people died, in Kuwait 107, in Oman 70, and in Qatar 31.
According to the media, the United States used to be on the list of places where Bangladeshi workers migrated to that country and lost their lives due to the corona, but now Saudi Arabia is in the first place.
The Saudi Ministry of Health claimed on Saturday that it had registered 878 cases of coronary heart disease, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 397,636. According to the country’s statistics, Riyadh reported the highest number of cases of Covid-19 with 410 cases, followed by Mecca.
Saudi Arabia claims that only 10 people lost their lives in the country on Saturday. The death toll in Saudi Arabia for the corona has risen to 6,747 so far.
The Saudi Interior Ministry recently closed its air, land, and sea crossings following the outbreak of a mutated version of the coronavirus in a number of European countries.
