Iraqi security expert Al-Sharifi said “The theory of Israel’s superiority in the Gaza war collapsed”
“We need to be realistic and have a clear and precise view to investigate this issue,” said Ahmad al-Sharifi, an Iraqi security and military expert on the reasons for the continued presence of US forces in Iraq.
At the same time, he stressed: “In none of the talks related to the strategic agreement between Iraq and the United States, the issue of the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq was discussed.”
Al-Sharifi said: “We must realize that there is a difference between leaving and scattered presence.” What has happened is that the reason for the presence of the ground forces that were being maneuvered is over, and now the operation to disperse the forces is underway, but the areas that are a strategic node for the US presence are still present and influential.
He continued: “International law on issues related to maintaining international security and peace or the decision on the presence or absence of troops is considered an international decision by the Security Council and even if the need for these forces ends, the parliament will vote on it.”
In another part of the conversation, Al-Sharifi addressed the issue of Operation Saif al-Quds and the confrontation between the Palestinian resistance and the Zionist regime, and the results of this confrontation, especially the failure of the Iron Dome against the resistance missiles. He declared that the internal front was safe, but now, after the conflict, he noticed a vacuum on the internal front, and the view that the internal front was not vulnerable was destroyed, and the existing equation changed, and so far what Israel fears most is missiles. It is ballistic.
He said: “In Gaza, which has a very limited area, we saw the fall of the theory of Israeli superiority, and on the contrary, Israel was somehow looking for a way out of the impasse in which it was trapped in Gaza.
