The Interior Ministry of the Yemeni National Salvation Government revealed the activities of al-Qaeda affiliates and their support for the forces of the Arab coalition and the resigned Yemeni government in Ma’rib province.
According to Al-Masira, the Interior Ministry of the Yemeni National Salvation Government revealed the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia and its mercenaries (the resigned government) had recently taken strong steps to mobilize and bring in a number of al-Qaeda elements to support its forces on the Ma’rib front.
The ministry wrote in a report: “The connection of the terrorist groups al-Qaeda, ISIS and other groups with the Arab aggression coalition is not hidden from anyone, and these criminal groups have become part of the military organization of this coalition.”
The Yemeni Interior Ministry went on to reveal the positions and fronts that the Saudi coalition and its mercenaries have handed over command to al-Qaeda.
The ministry added that several meetings had recently taken place between the resigning government commanders and al-Qaeda in Ma’rib.
On the other hand, sources reported that at least 60 people were killed in the ongoing fierce clashes between the forces of the resigned Yemeni government and Ansarullah in Marb province.
A Yemeni military source told Sputnik that Yemeni army fighters carried out heavy attacks on enemy positions in the west and north of Ma’rib.
Clashes continue in the strategic city of Marib for the third month in a row.
