Al-Amiri: There is no doubt in American troops’ withdrawal from Iraq.
The head of Al-Fath Iraqi Parliamentary Coalition emphasized: We will not be silent about the remaining American forces in Iraq.
Hadi Al-Amiri, head of Al-Fatah Parliamentary Coalition of Iraq, emphasized today, Sunday, that the Kataib of Imam Ali (AS) played an important role in the operations to liberate this country from ISIS terrorists.
Al-Ghadir news channel quoted Al-Ameri as reporting, “A few years ago, everyone thought that ISIS terrorists would dominate the whole of Iraq, but this project also failed thanks to the fatwa of the Shiite authority.”
He stated that a large section of the Iraqi people and resistance supported this fatwa, and continued: In the fight against ISIS, the Islamic Republic of Iran under the command of martyr Qassem Soleimani gave unlimited support to Iraq.
Pointing out that the blood of the martyrs will be the guarantor of Iraq’s sovereignty now and in the future, Al-Amiri clarified: We will use all our efforts in the path of the martyrs Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and for this reason, in return for the American forces remaining inside Iraq. We will not be silent.
In the end, this Iraqi politician noted: expelling foreign forces is a fundamental duty that cannot be overstated. There is no retreat or hesitation about expelling foreign forces from Iraq in order to preserve its sovereignty.
American troops entered Iraq in 2014 under the pretext of fighting ISIS. Under this pretext, America sent 3,000 troops into this country in the form of an international coalition against ISIS, 2,500 of whom were Americans. After the announcement of the victory over ISIS by Baghdad, the people and the government of Iraq emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of foreign soldiers from the country.
The emphasis of the Iraqi people on expelling the US intensified when the US martyred Lieutenant General Soleimani and Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Organization. In response to this crime, the Iraqi Parliament approved the plan to expel American soldiers from the country in January 2018.
