Ahmed Yassin”, a martyr who revived the name of the founder of Hamas.
Ahmed Yassin, the executor of the “Kedomim” martyrdom operation, which bears the name of the founder of the Hamas movement, was a member of the “Al-Qassam” battalion and the son of one of the most important resistance forces in the West Bank.
“Al-Jazeera” website published a report introducing “Ahmed Yassin Hilal Ghaizan”, a Palestinian youth from the village of Qobiya in the west of Ramallah, who carried out the martyrdom operation of Kodomim.
At the beginning of Al Jazeera’s report, it is stated: “Ahmed Yassin”, a young Palestinian man named after Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, the founder of the Hamas movement, was not far from this movement. His father was known in the city of Qobiya as one of the famous forces of that movement and was arrested several times in the past due to his affiliation with Hamas.
His aunt, who is the mother of the martyr Mo’taz Al-Khwaja, who carried out the martyrdom operation on Tel Aviv’s Dizengoff Street last March, said in an interview with Al-Jazeera: Ahmed Yassin was one of her son’s closest friends and like his brother, and he always came to visit him. This emotional closeness has caused Ahmad to be very affected after the martyrdom of Mo’taz.
This martyr’s mother continued to narrate: The last time Ahmed Yassin came to see me was two days ago when he asked me if I needed anything. The last thing I expected was that Ahmed would do such an operation; Because he was a very calm and peaceful young man who loved life very much.
Ahmed has 7 brothers and 8 sisters, and among them, he is the fifth child in the family; who finished his secondary education and then worked in the iron industry and did not have much contact with the youth of the city.
In another part of the Al-Jazeera report, we read: Nevertheless, from the neighbors to the residents of the city, everyone knew him for his calmness and high morals; In addition to religiosity and attachment to mosques, which is agreed upon by everyone.
