Ahmed Jibril, Secretary General of the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine, dies.
Ahmed Jibril, secretary general of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, died at a hospital in Damascus.
Jibril was a Palestinian leader born in 1938 who, based on his belief in the armed struggle for the liberation of Palestine, established the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command.
The National Front for the Liberation of Palestine has carried out several operations against the Zionist occupiers.
Lebanese Hezbollah offered condolences on the death of Abu Jihad.
In a statement on the death of Abu Jihad, Lebanese Hezbollah expressed its condolences to the resilient Palestinian people and the Palestinian Mujahideen groups, and to the leadership and members of the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command.
Hezbollah said in the statement that Palestine and the issue of Palestine was the whole life of Ahmad Jibril and that he spent his life on the battlefield.
Hezbollah added: “Jibril considered the continuous struggle as the only way to liberate Palestine and believed in the unity of the Mujahideen and the fighters on different fronts.”
The statement said that Abu Jihad had a strong will and high spirits, and that he had excellent qualities that led him to a worthy place in the history of Palestine and the region.
The reaction of the Fatah movement to the death of Abu Jihad.
Abbas Zaki, a member of the Fatah movement’s central committee, said Ahmad Jibril was a unique commander and committed to martyrdom operations.
He added: “Gabriel used to do something himself before he asked anyone, and Israel is very accountable to him.”
The reaction of the Yemeni Ansarullah movement to the death of Gabriel
The Political Bureau of the Ansarullah Movement, in response to the death of the Secretary General of the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine, said in a statement:
Ansarullah’s political office, while offering condolences to the Palestinian people and the National Front for the Liberation of Palestine and all resistance movements, added:
“We will not forget Abu Jihad’s brilliant political stances in support of the Yemeni people against the aggression of the aggressor Saudi coalition,” the statement said. He described the war against Yemen as an international conspiracy.
