Advisor Ben Zayed; Socotra will be the eighth emirate of the UAE.
The adviser to the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi made an exaggerated claim on Twitter, claiming that the people of the island of Socotra aspire to make it the eighth largest island in the UAE.
The UAE is gradually revealing its intention to occupy the Socotra archipelago in southern Yemen and annex the strategic island to its territory.
“Good morning from Socotra,” Abdul Khaliq Abdullah, adviser to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Zayed of Abu Dhabi, wrote on his personal Twitter page today. “Socotra is said to be the bride of the ocean, it is said to be the jewel of southern Arabia, and it is said to be the most beautiful island in Yemen”
“Some of the good people (Socotra) I spoke to wish that this island would be the eighth largest in the UAE,” Abdullah said.
He also posted a picture of himself in Socotra yesterday and talked about its beauty and charm. The tweet also angered Yemeni users.
The presence of an Emirati official on the island, who entered the island without a visa, is in line with Abu Dhabi’s dream of occupying the archipelago, Al-Musa Bars news website reported; An area that has a very good strategic position.
Informed sources, meanwhile, recently announced the establishment of an Israeli spy and intelligence center at the occupied airport in Socotra.
According to these sources, Al-Hilal Company of the UAE has signed a contract with the Zionist regime for the construction of a spy and intelligence center for the Israeli Air Force at the airport in the city of Hadibo, the center of the island of Socotra.
The sources stressed that the UAE has publicly opened the doors of Socotra to the Israeli military presence since its relations with Israel were made public through the signing of a normalization agreement in the first half of last year.
Even before normalizing its relations with the Zionist regime, the UAE had opened its footprints on the Yemeni island of Socotra (west of the Makran Sea).
