The Arab League Secretary-General announced Western pressure on Arab countries to “reject Russian special military operations in Ukraine.”
Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Abu al-Ghaith said Arab countries were under Western pressure to “reject Russian special military operations in Ukraine” and lay siege to Russia.
According to Rai Al-Youm, he said that after millions of displaced people, the West has awakened to its mistakes in the region and the current international and regional situation is very sensitive.
Abul Gheit continued that India, Brazil, Mexico and Africa have their own independent policies, and some countries refused to vote for Russia’s position on Ukraine due to their interests in the region.
He stressed that the Arab countries will not weaken in the face of pressure, and that the meeting of the foreign ministers of Egypt, Iraq, Algeria, the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Sudan will address an issue that reflects the will of the West.
Abu al-Gheit added that the war must stop when world food prices double; There is a common Arab position on the Russian-Ukrainian crisis.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered the Donbas republics of Luhansk and Donetsk to launch a special military operation in Ukraine, calling for the elimination of Nazis. And he called the disarmament of Kiev and stressed that he does not seek to occupy Ukrainian territory in any way and only targets military and not civilian infrastructure.
Western countries, especially the United States and Britain, have fueled the conflict in Ukraine from the very beginning by intensifying the pressure of sanctions and supplying light and heavy weapons to Ukraine, and the Ukrainian war continues at the instigation of Western countries.
