A Likud member decides to oust Netanyahu from the leadership of the right-wing party.
Yuli Edelstein, an influential and senior member of the Likud party, announced on Monday his intention to take the helm of the right-wing party and take over the presidency from former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
“If Netanyahu continues as Likud leader, our party will remain in the Knesset forever as an opposition party,” Edelstein told Israel’s Channel 12 television.
Netanyahu has been on trial for several years on charges of corruption. Netanyahu’s case has been so serious that even before the defeat in the last Israeli election this year, he was repeatedly present in court and hearing his charges.
In recent years, the mass media in the Occupied Territories have published many images of the Zionists’ strong protest against the negligence of the Israeli court in handling Netanyahu’s crimes.
