Confirming the information published by the Europe 1 radio station, the Paris prosecutor’s office announced: An investigation was launched on Thursday following the complaint of the weekly Charlie Hebdo in connection with the hack that targeted its website.
According to the Paris Public Prosecutor’s Office, the investigation is about allegations of fraudulent access to an automatic data processing system, as well as the fraudulent storage, introduction, modification and extraction of data and obstruction of the operation of such a system.
According to this report, this hack was carried out eight years after the attacks that destroyed Charlie Hebdo’s editorial office. The media reported that the investigation was assigned to the officers of the French Internal Intelligence Police and the Central Directorate for Combating Crimes Related to Information and Communication Technology.
According to an informed source, an attack was carried out on the commercial website and the homepage was destroyed. But at this stage there is no significant claim. This source added that information must be confirmed to be at risk. According to the reports, the European radio specifically mentioned the personal information of several thousand subscribers and added that on Thursday afternoon (local time), the website of this offensive publication was available, but its store was unavailable.
