A Female Minister has been appointed to the Deputy Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal Bin Farhan has appointed Sara Bint Abdul Rahman Al-Saeed as the Deputy Public Diplomacy of the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Sara bint Abdulrahman was appointed as the Deputy Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia on January 22, 2023. She has a bachelor’s degree in health and health systems management from George Mason University in the United States and was the military attaché of the Saudi Armed Forces in the United States from 2012 to 2015.
Sara bint Abdulrahman Al-Saeed has international experience and is going to deal with the case of Saudi-American relations.
In the years 2019 to 2022, she held the position of Deputy Minister of Health for International Cooperation Affairs, Director General of International Cooperation in the same ministry between 2017 and 2019.
She was also the deputy general manager of M&T Bank in 2004 to 2012, the chief accountant of Provident Bank in 2003 to 2004, and the general treasurer of Southern Financial Bank in 2003.

The appointment of this Saudi lady as the public diplomacy of the Saudi Foreign Ministry takes place at a time when the relations between Saudi Arabia and the United States became tense after the OPEC+ decision to reduce oil production.
