A different image from the meeting of the leaders of Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
The director of the Saudi Crown Prince’s Office published a photo of his country’s recent meeting with the Emir of Qatar and the UAE National Security Adviser, which is interesting in its own way.
Badr al-Assaker, director of the office of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, published a photo of his meeting with the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad, and Tahnoon bin Zayed, the UAE’s national security adviser in the Red Sea, with the words “friendly and fraternal meeting” used.
This photo is interesting in its own way because the three countries are in deep conflict, so much so that four countries, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain and the UAE, cut off diplomatic relations with Qatar in 2017 under the pretext of its support for terrorism. And they closed all the land, air and sea passages to this country.
After several years of crisis, last January, Saudi Arabia accepted reconciliation with Qatar under difficult internal and regional conditions, which led to a dispute with the UAE. Last winter, Qatar attended a meeting of the Gulf Cooperation Council in Al-Ala, Saudi Arabia, during which the Doha Reconciliation Agreement was signed with the four countries after nearly four years of severance.
Recently, an Emirati delegation led by National Security Adviser Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with the Emir of Qatar during a visit to Doha.
