In 2022, the number of companies registered by foreign nationals in Kazakhstan has increased 3 times compared to the same period last year.
Last year, the number of foreign citizens who opened a company in the territory of Kazakhstan was 3 times more than the previous year.
According to the data of the National Bureau of Statistics of Kazakhstan, in 2022, foreign nationals registered 11,780 companies in the country, which is 3.1 times more than in 2021.
Therefore, according to the report, in January and February, the indicators were standard, but in March, registrations immediately increased by 3.3 times compared to the same month of 2021, so that they reached 754 companies from 226.
Then this trend continued and the highest growth followed in the months of August, October and November. For example, in August 1485, October 1580 and November 1536, new companies were registered by foreigners in Kazakhstan.
It is noteworthy that almost two-thirds of these companies received operating licenses in Almaty (5407) and Astana (3038). The regions of West Kazakhstan (523), Kastanay (488) and Aktobe (319) are in the next positions of this list.
Along with the growth of the number of foreign companies, their share in the total number of registered companies also increased and reached 22.8% in 2022 from 9.1% in 2021.
According to the experts of the National Bureau of Statistics of Kazakhstan, this means that almost every 4 new companies that are registered in Kazakhstan, one of them is registered by citizens of other countries.
The total number of registered companies in Kazakhstan in 2022 has reached 51 thousand 716 units (24.3% more than in 2021), of which 12 thousand 327 are public companies and 39 thousand 392 are private companies.
