Survey; 64% of Americans believe that racism against blacks is widespread.
According to a nationwide poll, 64% of Americans believe racism against blacks is widespread in the country.
This is the highest rate since 2008, according to a Gallup poll.
Forty-four percent of black Americans also feel that racism against blacks is widespread. In the poll, 72 percent of Latins agreed, and 59 percent of whites agreed.
Another question raised in the survey was the improvement in living conditions, with 69 percent of Americans saying their citizenship rights had improved, up 10 percent from 2020 but still up from 89 percent in 2011 and the first half. Former President Barack Obama’s presidency is a long way off.
When asked how police treat blacks, 55 percent of those polled said police treated blacks less fairly than whites.
In the survey, a total of 61 percent of respondents were dissatisfied with the way black was treated, and only 38 percent expressed satisfaction.
American racism against black citizens was revealed in the crime of a white American officer against a black citizen of this country.
George Floyd, a 46-year-old black man, died in early June of last year by squeezing his knee on his neck for about nine minutes while being held by Shavin, a U.S. police officer and several other officers. The reason for Floyd being arrested by Shavin and his colleagues was that he had given the seller a counterfeit $ 20 for a shop.
The release of the video of Floyd’s assassination sparked a wave of protests against racism and police violence in the United States that spread to other parts of the world. The killing of several other black citizens by US police has also been instrumental in fueling the protests.
