6-hour interrogation from Trump’s son-in-law in the US Congress.
The son-in-law and adviser of the former US president appeared at the congressional election committee to testify about the events of January 6.
Jared Kouchner, the former president’s son-in-law, appeared before a US Congressional Electoral Committee on the Jan. 6 events on Friday.
Kouchner is the first member of the family of former US President Donald Trump to appear before a committee investigating the attack on Congress, according to the BBC News website.
The video meeting of members of the Congressional Electoral Committee and Trump’s son-in-law, who was also his top adviser to the administration, lasted about six hours.
According to BBC News, Kouchner volunteered for the meeting and was not summoned. According to one of the participants in the meeting, Trump’s son-in-law cooperated amicably with the committee investigating the attack on Congress.
“Kouchner was a White House official at the time of the events of January 6, 2021, and the president’s son-in-law at the time of the events of January 6, 2021.” It was very valuable for us to have the opportunity with him, talk”.
Jared Kouchner’s testimony to the congressional selection committee comes as US President Joe Biden, after much deliberation, allowed documents to be sent to the National Archives on the day of the attack on Congress.
But the committee’s investigation was hampered by the loss of some documents related to this controversial day in American history, as the text of White House phone calls was lost from 11:17 a.m. to 6:45 p.m.
