3.5 million people displaced in Afghanistan
The United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) on Wednesday expressed concern over the plight of internally displaced persons, saying that 3.5 million people have been displaced by war and insecurity.

“On the eve of winter, the need for humanitarian aid is rapidly increasing, and many families are homeless and even those who have returned to their original homes have had their homes destroyed by the conflict,” the UN said.
