According to the report of the international group of Tasnim news agency, the so-called organization for controlling and fighting corruption in Saudi Arabia (Nazah) announced in Saudi Arabia that it investigated 437 suspects, including government employees, and arrested 170 citizens and government officials on charges of bribery, forgery and money laundering.
The Saudi Anti-Corruption Control and Anti-Corruption Organization emphasized in a statement: In the month of Jumadi al-Awwal 1444 AH, 2426 rounds of surveillance and investigation of 437 suspects from citizens and employees of the country’s ministries, including justice, municipality and rural affairs, housing, health, human resources and development. Social, trade and education started.
This Saudi institution further added: 170 citizens and government employees were arrested based on the Criminal Procedure Law. Some of them were released on bail due to charges of bribery, abuse of their position, money laundering and forgery.
In the continuation of this statement, it is stated: We are completing the procedures of the case to refer them to the judiciary.
This commission did not reveal the identity of the arrested and the amount of money related to the above cases.
