Hamas spokesman Hazem Qasim reacted to today’s events in Jerusalem, stressing: “The attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque today is a Zionist crime. Our nation is ready to sacrifice its life on the way to [Al-Aqsa Mosque]. “Tens of thousands of worshipers go to Al-Aqsa Mosque to send a strong message of readiness to sacrifice and preserve our identity.”
Channel 14 of the Zionist regime television reported that eight policemen of the Zionist regime were injured in today’s clashes with the Palestinian youth in Al-Aqsa Mosque. According to the report, three of these forces were taken to hospital.
The People’s Front for the Liberation of Palestine issued a statement regarding the developments in Al-Aqsa Mosque today, declaring that the attack on Al-Aqsa Mosque was “an explosive thunderbolt for the situation in Palestine.”
The statement also stressed that what is happening in Al-Aqsa Mosque is a Zionist aggression and a dangerous tension that needs the support of the sit-in protesters in Al-Aqsa Mosque and the people of Quds. The Palestinian group also called on citizens to unite in the best possible way in the square and to confront the Zionist regime forces.
The People’s Front further criticized the silence of the international community regarding the Israeli military attack and stressed that this silence encourages the occupiers to continue sabotage and aggression. In the end, the group called on the people of the Arab countries to act as soon as possible in support of Al-Quds and Al-Aqsa Mosque against the occupiers.
