1200 Yemenis are still in Saudi prisons.
According to al-Mayadeen, today Wednesday, the human rights organization in Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, announced the crimes and assaults that are taking place in the prisons of the Arab coalition against Yemeni prisoners.
Also, this organization announced: Yemenis who have been kidnapped and taken captive are tortured and killed in some prisons in Marib. Nearly 1,200 Yemeni civilians, including women and children, have been abducted by the Arab coalition forces from November 2021 to May 2023.
The Human Rights Organization in Sana’a, in a news conference entitled “Crimes and assaults on the rights of civilian prisoners of enemy prisons and its mercenaries”, clarified: 256 people out of 1,200 kidnapped civilians have been released, among which 198 of them were in the form of exchange agreements. The prisoners have been released. The largest number of abducted civilians are kept in Marib province, reaching more than 645 people.
In the report of the Human Rights Organization, the prisons of Ben Ghraib, military intelligence, central security, political security prison, awareness and al-Saleh prison, located in Marib, are mentioned as prisons where prisoners are tortured and killed. This organization announced: So far, we have learned about the killing of 18 Yemeni prisoners in these prisons.
Referring to the medical examinations of the Yemeni prisoners released from the political security prisons of the Arab coalition, this organization emphasized: Due to the medical negligence of the prison guards of the Arab coalition, diseases such as tuberculosis have become epidemic among the prisoners. The custodians of these prisons do not allow various organizations to visit the prisoners.
