100 ISIS terrorists drowned in a river in Nigeria
More than 100 Daesh (former Boko Haram) terrorists in Nigeria drowned in the river while escaping from the army forces of this country.
Nigerian military and local sources reported today (Tuesday) that on last Thursday and Friday, more than 100 Daesh terrorists (former Boko Haram) drowned in the river while fleeing from the army forces in the northeast of the country.
According to Russia’s Daily, the Nigerian army has started an operation to clear the areas and villages around the “Yazaram” river since last week. Last Thursday, during the military attack on the terrorists’ headquarters, they had to throw themselves into the river to escape, but many of them drowned.
According to Nigerian sources, the Yazaram River in Borno State is one of the main headquarters of the terrorists of the Jamaat Ahl al-Sunnah Lal-Dawa wal-Jihad known as Boko Haram, a group that pledged allegiance to the ISIS group in 2016 (1394) and changed its name to “Province of West Africa” changed.
A high-ranking officer of the Nigerian army said that more than 100 terrorists drowned in the river and the army forces targeted their headquarters from the air and the ground and forced them to flee.
According to him, four soldiers of the Nigerian army were also killed in these clashes. However, Nigerian Defense Minister Bashir Salehi Magashi refused to provide more detailed information in an interview with reporters and only said that the army conducted extensive ground and air operations against terrorists last week.
