Saudi news sources reported the holding of a joint air exercise between the US and Saudi air forces in recent days
According to the Riyadh Daily website, the Saudi Air Force and the US Air Force held the exercise last week for four days at King Abdullah Air Base. The air exercise, which ended last Wednesday, was attended by a number of US and Saudi fighter jets and logistics aircraft.
Saudi Arabia has said the joint exercise was aimed at boosting military co-operation and exchanging specialized information between the two sides. For security reasons, the Saudi Ministry of Defense did not specify how the exercise would be conducted and the exact type of aircraft participating.
The US Central Command (Centcom) recently announced a joint military exercise with the Saudi Air Force. The two countries’ militaries have been training on anti-aircraft drone systems. US F-16 fighter jets were present at the exercise, along with Saudi military fighters.
According to Centcom’s Twitter page, the exercise demonstrates the focus of Saudi Arabia and the United States on regional security.
This is the third US-Saudi military drone strike since the beginning of this year. On June 14, Centcom’s command released images of a joint military exercise with the Saudi military to combat drones. The exercise was held in February with the participation of the US Marine Corps.

Despite the drills, Western news sources have repeatedly acknowledged the weakness of Saudi pilots in training at US bases.
