Trump: I don’t think Twitter would be successful without me.
Although Elon Musk took over the ownership of the social network Twitter last week, the former president of the United States said that he will remain on his social network.
After Elon Musk took ownership of the Twitter social network, former US President Donald Trump wished him the best in a message and emphasized that he will remain on his social network called “Truth Social”.
He described his social network as better and safer and added that he feels like his home in this social network.
Elon Musk completed a $44 billion deal to buy social network Twitter on Thursday, tweeting just before midnight, referring to the Twitter icon: “The bird (Twitter icon) has been set free.”
Trump also said in an interview with Fox News on Friday: “I love Elon and I wish him great success.”
“I don’t think Twitter can be successful without me,” the former president added.
In the interview, Trump made no mention of whether he would return to Twitter.
After the congressional events on January 6, 2021, Trump’s accounts on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat were suspended.
Twitter claimed that a number of tweets that Trump wrote at that time had ignited the fire of violence and described his continued presence on Twitter as inciting more violence.
On the other hand, the Washington Post reported last week that Elon Musk has presented a plan to replace or fire nearly 75% of Twitter’s employees. According to this report, Musk is going to reduce the number of Twitter employees from 7,500 to 2,000.
Elon Musk has previously said that the network has a bloated workforce, while its employees have leftist biases.
