Reacting to the remarks of the Saudi Foreign Minister, the Foreign Minister of the Yemeni National Salvation Government said that the period of Saudi intervention in Yemen has passed.

“The peace that Sanaa is striving for is a real, just and lasting peace for Yemen and its people, according to which foreign forces must leave Yemen and the independence and sovereignty of Yemen must be established on all its territory,” he told Saba.
Hisham Sharaf continued, “Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan” should not rush to show his position of power as the new UN envoy to Yemen begins his mission. The Saudi Foreign Minister knows that peace in Yemen is for his people, and that returning to a safe environment, stability and domination of the national government that achieves law, justice and prosperity and ends seven years of suffering following the Saudi coalition aggression is for the Yemeni people and peace. It is not for Saudi Arabia to impose or conditional on Yemen for its own interests and to continue its role of guardianship.
He stressed that the Saudi leaders should understand that based on the principles of good neighborliness, mutual respect and non-interference in internal affairs, it is possible to resume bilateral relations between Yemen and Riyadh in the future.
In a statement, the Saudi foreign minister welcomed the appointment of Hans Grandberg as the new UN Secretary-General’s envoy to Yemen and stressed his support for a political solution to the crisis. (More details)
