The Times claims: Zelensky survived three assassination plots.
The Times of London claims that the Ukrainian president has so far survived three assassination attempts by Russian and Chechen agents.
The Times of London claims that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelinsky has survived at least three assassination attempts.
The report added: “Two different groups were commissioned to assassinate the President of Ukraine; One is the Wagner group, backed by the Kremlin, and the other is the Chechen special forces. Both groups have been neutralized by anti-Russian Federal War agents.
The Times also claims that these elements have suffered casualties during their operations and that they are said to be concerned about the anticipation of their efforts by the Ukrainians. A source close to the group said it was “eerie” how the Zelensky security team was informed of the matter.
Ukrainian security officials said on Saturday that they had foiled an assassination attempt on Volodymyr Zelensky on the outskirts of Kiev and had already killed a number of Chechen operatives.
Earlier, Ukrainian Defense and National Security Council Chairman Oleksiy Danilov said in an interview that Ukrainian forces had destroyed two Chechen death squads on Tuesday.
Danilov claimed that sources in the Russian Federal Security Service (AFSB) had revealed the intention of the two Chechen commandos to assassinate the Ukrainian president.
Zelensky claimed in a televised message a few days ago that he believed Russian forces had designated him as “the number one target.”
