The King of Jordan’s emphasis on the necessity of stopping the unilateral actions by the Zionist regime.
The King of Jordan met with the head of the Zionist regime in the Egyptian city of Sharm el-Sheikh and discussed the situation in Palestine.
King Abdullah II of Jordan met with the head of the Zionist regime Isaac Herzog on the sidelines of the United Nations climate meeting known as COP 27 in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.
In this meeting, the King of Jordan emphasized the necessity of intensifying efforts to realize a just and inclusive peace based on the two-state solution and the formation of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
According to the report of the Jordanian website “Ammon”, the King of Jordan emphasized the need for the Zionist regime to avoid unilateral actions that undermine the chances of achieving peace and said: “It is necessary to include the Palestinians in the opportunities for economic cooperation in the region.”
Reconciliation negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides have been stopped since April 2014 due to the opposition of the Zionist regime to stop settlement construction, release old prisoners and non-adherence to the principle of a two-state solution.
After this meeting, Herzog also wrote on his Twitter account: “I met with my friend King Abdullah II of Jordan. In this meeting, we reviewed the tripartite cooperation between Jordan, the UAE and Israel in the field of energy and water.”
