ISLAMABAD: Health experts were of the opinion that rather than being concerned about the financial crises government must have paid attention to the rising number of corona cases. The government has been blamed for neglecting the danger of a third-wave of the deadly virus spread. As it lifted the lockdown and has eased restrictions. As a result, 1,176 new cases have been reported from all over the country.
On Feb 24, National Command and Control Center has relaxed most of the restrictions regarding commercial activities. After 70pc population of the country was vaccinated authorities lifted the lockdown.
Doctors and medical experts want the government to review decisions and strategies. They urge the government to take serious steps towards vaccination.
A microbiologist Dr. Javaid Usman has warned “We can’t rule out the possibility of a third wave of the virus. If the government doesn’t take serious steps the coronavirus will bounce back.”
Dr. Qaiser Sajid, Secretary-General of the Pakistan Medical Association says, “People are not implementing SOPs as we have suggested. they think it’s hilarious to wear a mask. We have already noticed the consequences of not taking the deadly virus seriously.
The PMA has blamed the government for the slow vaccination reaction shown by the public. Rather than renowned doctors celebrities have been used for vaccination campaigns. Furthermore, we see dozens of advertisements during PSL matches but we don’t remember a single advertisement about vaccination.
