Atwan: The next war will not be limited to Palestine.
Abdulbari Atwan, the editor of the regional newspaper Rayalyoum and a prominent Palestinian analyst, in his new note addressed the martyrdom of Sheikh Khizr Adnan, a 44-year-old Palestinian captive and prominent member of the Islamic Jihad movement in the prison of the occupation regime after nearly 3 months of hunger strike and wrote, Sheikh Khizr Adnan was martyred after 87 days of hunger strike in a jihad path full of sacrifices, and the joint operation room of Palestinian groups promised a crushing response to the Zionist enemy; in such a way that it is at the level and position of this great martyr. The Palestinian resistance brigades also emphasize that they will never hesitate to avenge the blood of their martyrs.
Atwan added, Martyr Sheikh Adnan was martyred at the end of his faith and strength after 87 consecutive days of hunger strike and during all this time he never backed down from his demands. Because honor and dignity were more important to him than food or all the pleasures of this mortal world. Sheikh Adnan made a rare and large hunger strike in the history of the Palestinian struggle and became a model for thousands of prisoners in prisons and thousands of Palestinians inside and outside this land. He spent 8 years of his life in the prisons of the occupying regime and during all this time he valued the martyrs.
In the continuation of this note, Sheikh Adnan wrote in his will for his wife and children: “The best houses are the houses of the martyrs and prisoners, the wounded and the righteous.” Bury me next to my father and write on my grave: Khizr Adnan, God’s poor servant. By God’s permission, victory is near.” But when we say that the response of the resistance to this crime of the occupiers will be like an earthquake, we are actually referring to the glorious history of the resistance; A history full of fiery and costly revenge operations for the occupying regime and its settlers and officials.
