The JF-17 Thunder, a fighter jet jointly developed by Pakistan and China, has caused a stir around the world, according to media reports. Argentina has formally decided to buy JF-17 Thunder Block 3 fighter jet . Argentina will purchase a total of 12 Block 3 JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan, for which the Argentine government has allocated more than 660 million dollars.
The procurement process will formally begin after the Argentine parliament approves the decision to purchase the aircraft.
This development is being hailed by defense experts as a major achievement for Pakistan’s defense industry. It may be recalled that Pakistan had earlier formally handed over 03 JF-17 Thunder aircraft to the Nigerian Air Force in May this year. The Pakistan Aeronautical Complex delivered the aircraft to the Nigerian Air Force as scheduled in March this year, despite the challenges posed by the Corona epidemic.
It may be recalled that the JF-17 Thunder, a joint venture between Pakistan and China, has gained considerable popularity. According to sources, so far many countries have expressed interest in purchasing JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. India’s friend and neighbor Myanmar has also decided to buy JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan. Azerbaijan and Malaysia will also buy JF-17 Thunder fighter jets from Pakistan.
Nigeria and Myanmar have agreed to buy JF-17 Thunder aircraft from Pakistan. Malaysia, Azerbaijan, Egypt and some other countries are also trying to reach an early agreement on the purchase of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets. Demand for JF-17 Thunder fighter jets has risen sharply since Pakistan shot down Indian fighter jets. The sale of JF-17 Thunder fighter jets in the international market will earn Pakistan a lot of foreign exchange. While Pakistan’s defense industry will also be promoted at the international level.
