San Francisco:
WhatsApp, the world’s largest messaging platform, has warned users that fraud is trying to gain access to bank accounts and personal information. Naive people are also falling prey to this fraud.
According to the details, WhatsApp is receiving a link from an unknown direction in which users are tricked into answering the questions in the link in return for which they will be given money or gifts as a reward. They are also victims of fraud.
However, it is not yet clear with which country’s citizens this forgery is taking place. Users have been instructed not to listen to any such message but to delete the link immediately in case of receipt of the link. This message is also being received through the app on Android, iOS system and computer.
A large number of people have also fallen victim to counterfeiting. Fraudsters can get information from users and install an app on their device. Users who accidentally open the link should immediately clean their device with anti-virus software.
